Why Sublitex:
quality of printing, impressive sector-to-sector design offering, 20,000 roller-archived designs, and digital transfer printing flexibility give customers what they want in the quantity they want..
Production, logistics and service:
SUBLITEX produces some 25 million meters a year.
Operating from a 20,000 sq. metre production plant at Alba, a town nestled in Northern Italy, SUBLITEX’s production process unfolds into:
7 Rotogravure Printing Lines
2 Foil-Transfer Rewinders
Resin Coating Unit
Technical Film Unit
Digital Printing Unit
Flexible production and an in-house engraving and cutting unit ensure faster time-to-market and peerless full-cycle autonomy. Through the traditional and digital sampling funcPtion, SUBLITEX checks beforehand the print yield.
Encompassed within its R&D framework is a technical analysis lab having the capability to monitor the quality of SUBLITEX products, with rigorous testing conducted in the form of QUV-A, QUV-B, SUN TEST, X-RITE and TABER TEST.
SUBLITEX also cooperates with SSOG and with prestigious university research centres and, not least, with renowned trade-sector associations such as AITAL, CATAS, etc.
Environment
Alcohol-based inks are used to print onto surfaces insofar as, unlike water-based inks, these do not contain hazardous substances – such as ammonia or bleach - having an adverse impact on the Environment. Entirely natural and renewable, the alcohol, after being properly treated, distilled and recuperated, is recycled.
SUBLITEX aims to make its supply chain as sustainable as possible and, as such, only uses suppliers with high environmental standards.
We buy our paper from mills that manufacture to internationally recognised standards, using limited quantities of readily renewable, non-precious wood essence timber from forest certification schemes, and never from rain or tropical forests. Annual consumption by paper mills associated with the Paper Plus international organisation equates one week of summertime wood consumption in Finland.
SUBLITEX monitors and measures B.O.D. (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) on a continuing basis. BOD is an important parameter used to evaluate the impact of biodegradable organic substances in water samples. This method can be used to measure the quality of water and the pollution level of production plants.
Also subject to particular attention are production rejects:
fluids used in rotogravure machine overhaul and maintenance are recycled at purification plants
film rejects, once produced, are placed with firms, where they are recycled and used in their production processes.
